Our Vision

Fighting Malnutrition

Mahereza means to encourage, to support, and to lend a hand in Malagasy.

Our vision as a nonprofit is to reduce child mortality, improve maternal and infant health, and decrease malnutrition through education and creation of one main health center in Antsirabe, Madagascar.

The Mahereza Nutrition and Health Center hosts 25 mothers and 25 malnourished children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years. Each program lasts 6 weeks providing free meals, spirulina, and education for the mothers.

In the future we envision training community health workers from the countryside and sending them back to their communities with knowledge and motivation to help their villages about malnutrition.

The Mahereza Team

Every child receives a free consultation by a local medical team at the start of each program.
